The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program is a residency cohort program that begins fall 2019. In the first year of the program, students will have a full-time residency in a public school and will earn $20,000. In the second-year students are eligible to be hired as the full-time teacher of record. All residency cohort members have a reduced tuition fee of $440 per credit.

This program is designed for prospective teachers who are interested in working with students learning English as a new language in grades pre-K-12. Grounded in a developmental-interaction approach, our program is steeped in the belief that through careful observation, culturally sustaining pedagogy, inquiry learning, and assessment, teachers are able to respond to students’ shifts in development and interests.

Our online open house will be led by Cristian Solorza (program director) and Stephen Ostendorff, Director of Graduate Admissions.

    Registration is no longer available.
